Gomoa Budumburam Queen-mother Declares War On Poor Sanitation, Vows Tough Sanctions

The Queen mother of Gomoa Budumburam in the Gomoa East District of the Central Region Obaahemaa Ekua Essaba I has declared war on poor sanitation, vowing to impose tough sanctions on individuals who litter and release waste into gutters.

The Queenmother made the declaration during a clean-up exercise as part of the Gomoa Budumburam Homecoming celebrations, where Nananom and other authorities took to the streets to clear waste and promote a clean environment.

“We will not tolerate this anymore,” the Queenmother warned, targeting indigenes who engage in unsanitary practices. “Anyone caught littering or not keeping waste for Zoomlion to collect will face the full force of our traditional authority.”

Other traditional leaders and stakeholders joined the clean-up, emphasizing that achieving a clean environment is a shared responsibility.

They urged residents to participate in future clean-up exercises and maintain clean surroundings.
