Ashanti Regional Police Command Arrest Four Suspects In Connection With Kunsu Robbery
The Ashanti Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with a robbery incident which occured at Kunsu on December 7 2026.
The suspects are Yaya Shiebu alias Diamond (24), Atta Israel alias Stone (32), Victor Gyan alias City Boy (26), and Wiafi Akenten(30).
DCOP Osei Akoto Arthur, the Ashanti Regional Police Commander, disclosed this during a press conference, stating that the suspects are part of a robbery gang that has been terrorizing residents with guns. Items recovered from the suspects include two pump-action guns, three cutlasses, five mobile phones, 22 bullets, and GH¢54,000.
The suspects allegedly attacked Mr. Kingsley Asare and his brothers, who were returning from their mining site, and stole gold, money, and a gun.
According to police, the robbers wore masks and threatened the victims with violence if they resisted.
The suspects are currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, and will be put before court soon.
DCOP Osei Akoto Arthur assured the public that the police are doing their best to ensure the safety of citizens, promising to protect and guide each and every one.
