Gomoa East Taskforce Crackdown On Recalcitrant Drives And Mate For Charging Unapproved Fares

The security taskforce at Gomoa East District Assembly has crackdown on recalcitrant drivers and mate who charge unapproved fare during rush hour on kasoa to Accra road.

The exercise target commercial trotro drivers, conductors who unlawfully increase transport fares.

The exercise take place at Kasoa, Buduburam, Amamfrom, Galelia and Tollbooth to ensure that the drivers and conductors take approved fare and also dress properly.

The security taskforce has also checked on drivers and conductors who are improperly dress, particularly wearing of slippers to drive.

In an interview with the media, the leaders of the security taskforce Mr. Isaac Aquah has cautioned the drivers and the conductors to desist from such act since they would be taken to court and find when caught.

Meanwhile, some of the passengers have praised the taskforce for taken such action against the drivers, citing on the stress the the drivers and the conductors put them through.
