He mentioned that, the Holy Quran has made provision on how these aforementioned individuals can take part in the fasting and not affect their wellbeing and health.

He however, emphasized the need for parents to train up their children to fast from aged 7 upwards, however young children aged 7 -13 can break their fast after noon but aged 15 upwards are encouraged to complete the fast.

He however made it clear that, the Holy Quran has made adequate provisions for exception as earlier mentioned.

Asked why with these adequate provisions by the Holy Quran, people are still ignorant of these provisions, he attributes the situation to people’s refusal to adhere to the teachings of the Holy Quran.

According to him, some muslims are adamant to what they teach them and ignorantly do what they thought is right and demanded of them especially with regards to fasting.

He therefore called on his colleagues clerics to intensify education at their various mosque in order to prevent unnecessary health implications and even death.

He made this appeal to Muslims when he donated 50 bags of rice and 10 cartons of looking oil to 80 widows in nkwanta township
