CLOGSAG Strike It Will Hugely Affect All MMDAs.

he Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso, Hon. Eric Assibey, has said the strike action by the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) will affect government business hugely.

The members of the Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) are set to commence an indefinite nationwide strike today, Monday, March 9.

The strike action is in protest against what the association describes as persistent delays in implementing their agreed conditions of service.

The industrial action is expected to disrupt activities across a number of ministries, departments and agencies, as well as local government offices throughout the country, where members of the association constitute a substantial portion of the administrative workforce.

CLOGSAG’s leadership maintains that the decision to embark on the strike follows several unsuccessful attempts to engage the government on the matter.

Reacting to this in an interview with Atinka News reporter, Sofoba Kwame Afrifah today, the MCE lamented over the action taken by the association.

“At all cost, this strike action will have massive effect at the various MMDAs in terms of government business”

“But I will plead with the leadership of the association to consider whatever decision that may come out of their meeting to the government and call off the strike”. Hon. Assibey added.

End.
