Jerusalem Is My Home Parents Demand Justice After Teacher Lashes Minor Siblings With 60 Canes.

Outraged parents are demanding justice after a teacher at Trinity Methodist Preparatory School in Egyaa, Mfantseman Municipality, Central Region, allegedly repeatedly lashed their two minor sons with a total of 60 canes.

The brutal incident happened yesterday, Wednesday, March 11, 2026, leaving multiple injuries across the boys’ bodies.
Meanwhile, 10- year-old received the brunt of the punishment with 40 lashes, while his 8 year-old brother got 20.

The victims’ father, Mr. Moses Barnabas, explained that the beating stemmed from his sons sitting on event plastic chairs without the teacher’s permission, the teacher, identified as Sir Ebenezer, then unleashed 60 lashes on the two children.

“What pains me most is that the school authorities have refused to address the matter,” Mr. Barnabas said.
He added that the school’s dismissive attitude has forced him to go public to draw the attention of the Gender Minister.

Mr. Barnabas is calling on the Ghana Education Service and the Minister for Gender, Children and Social Protection for intervention, after the school refused to visit the injured children.

They have lodged an official complaint at the Saltpond District Police Station, where investigations are underway.
