Inferno Devastates Konongo Market, 18 Containers Go Up In Flames.

A devastating fire has swept through Konongo market in the Ashanti Region, destroying over 18 containers and causing significant property damage.

The blaze, which occurred around 2:45 am, has left the community reeling.

The cause of the fire is still unknown, and authorities are investigating.

Hon Nana Kofi, the assemblyman for New Town electoral area, revealed that the Konongo fire tender was out of commission, hindering response efforts.

“The fire tender is spoilt, so there was no fire tender to contain the fire,” Hon Nana Kofi said, expressing frustration and concern for the affected traders.

The loss is estimated to be substantial, with many traders likely to be severely affected.

Over Billions of cedis have lost in the fire distraction.

The community is calling for support to help those impacted by the disaster, as many have lost their livelihoods.

Hon Nana Kofi disclosed that, government must do something about the tenders used by the Ghana National fire service because it’s destroying their work and affecting Ghanaians.
