Salaga South MP Outlines Major Infrastructure And Education Projects To Boost Local Development.

The Member of Parliament for Salaga South Constituency, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimah, has outlined a series of key infrastructure and development initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of residents and accelerating economic growth in the area.
Speaking on ongoing and planned projects, the MP highlighted significant progress in the health sector, particularly the 60-bed Euroget Hospital.
She noted that the contractor is expected to return to site soon to complete the facility, which is anticipated to enhance healthcare delivery in the constituency.
On water supply, Hon. Zuwera expressed optimism that persistent water scarcity challenges will soon be addressed through upcoming water projects, bringing relief to affected communities.
In line with efforts to boost local commerce, the MP revealed plans for the establishment of a 24-hour economy market in Salaga.
She indicated that designs and prototypes for the project have already been reviewed, signaling steady progress toward its realization.
Additionally, she disclosed that major road construction projects are in the pipeline to improve connectivity and stimulate economic activities within the constituency.
Touching on education, Hon. Zuwera announced several upgrade projects for Salaga Senior High School as it prepares to celebrate its 50th anniversary.
These include the construction of a new two-storey girls’ dormitory, renovation of the ICT centre with modern technology, rehabilitation of the dining hall and kitchen, and the building of a new assembly hall to support academic and social activities.
She further noted that additional dormitory projects for T.I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School are under consideration by the GETFund Administrator, alongside other educational infrastructure improvements.
According to the MP, the overarching goal of these initiatives is to upgrade schools in the constituency to Category A status, create a more self-sufficient environment for residents, and promote entrepreneurship.
She added that the projects will also strengthen social protection systems and improve overall quality of life in Salaga South.
Hon. Zuwera reaffirmed her commitment to championing development and working closely with stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of these projects for the benefit of her constituents.
