Mother’s Day Tragedy, Two Dead, One Hospitalized After Pedestrian Knockdown At Kokoben.
Mother’s Day celebration turned tragic in Kokoben in the Atwima Nwahiagya North of the Ashanti region after three pedestrians were knocked down, leaving two people confirmed dead and one receiving treatment in hospital.
The incident occurred just this morning at Kokoben in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District, they are from the northern parts of Ghana, were struck while walking along the road. Two died at the scene, while the third was rushed to a nearby health facility for medical care.
Eyewitnesses said the vehicle involved fled the scene immediately after the crash. Police have opened investigations and are working to identify the driver and vehicle.
Community members described the incident as devastating, coming on a day when families across the country were honoring mothers.
