C-Dag National Executives Call For Calm Amid Transport Fare Concerns.

The National Executives of the Concerned Drivers Association of Ghana (C-DAG) have taken note of the concerns raised by some Regional Chairmen and allied transport unions regarding the recent transport fare adjustments by certain VIP bus operators.
We wish to assure all commercial drivers, transport operators, and the general public that leadership of the association is actively engaging all relevant stakeholders to address the matter in the interest of fairness, unity, and stability within the transport sector.
The National Executives are currently in discussions with the leadership of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU), sister transport unions, the Hon. Minister for Transport, and other key stakeholders to find an amicable and lasting solution to the concerns raised by drivers across the country.
We therefore respectfully call on all Regional Chairmen, drivers, and members of the various transport unions to remain calm and exercise restraint while these engagements continue.
The National Executives wish to emphasize that plans are far advanced to address the concerns of drivers, and we are optimistic that the ongoing stakeholder engagements will produce a positive outcome in the coming days.
We urge all members to avoid any unilateral action that may escalate tensions within the transport industry while negotiations are ongoing.
C-DAG remains committed to protecting the welfare and interests of drivers across Ghana through lawful, peaceful, and constructive engagement.
