Flooding Cuts Off Sections Of Assin Fosu–Cape Coast–Kumasi Highway; Motorists Stranded.

Drivers plying the Assin Fosu–Cape Coast–Kumasi Highway are being advised to exercise extreme caution following severe flooding on portions of the road after heavy rains in the area.

The flooding has left several small vehicles stranded, causing difficulty for commuters and disrupting the smooth flow of traffic along the stretch.

Motorists are being urged to avoid speeding and strictly observe all safety precautions to prevent any unfortunate incidents.

The situation has also affected the main alternative route through Assin Adadientam–Homaho, where floodwaters have submerged bridges along the road, leaving residents and commuters stranded and unable to access nearby communities.

Officials from the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), led by Nicholas Adusei Sarpong are currently on the ground assessing the situation and educating residents and road users on safety measures as efforts continue to prevent casualties and further damage.

Residents and travellers are therefore being advised to remain alert, avoid crossing flooded sections, and cooperate with emergency officials until the floodwaters recede.

End.
