Do Not Allow Difficulties To Discourage You” – Education Unit Urges SHS Graduands.

Graduands of Aggrey Memorial A.M.E. Zion Senior High School in the Central Region were urged to view challenges as opportunities for growth rather than barriers to success during the school’s graduation ceremony held on campus.

The ceremony brought together staff, parents and community members to celebrate the (final year form 3 students) graduands achievements and to encourage them to apply the lessons learned at Aggrey Memorial as they pursue further education and careers.

Rev. Sylvester Donkor, General Manager of the Zion Education Unit, Central Region, delivered the keynote address and told the graduands to remain resilient and determined as they move into the next phase of their academic and professional lives.

Speaking on the theme of Perseverance and Excellency “, Rev. Donkor said life will present obstacles, uncertainties and setbacks, but success often belongs to those who turn those hurdles into stepping stones.

“Do not allow difficulties to discourage you, every challenge presents an opportunity to learn, improve, and discover your true potential, the most successful people in the world are those who refuse to give up in the face of adversity,” he emphasized.

Rev. Donkor commended the students for completing their secondary education despite the academic, social and economic challenges they faced.

He urged the graduands to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, hard work and service that Aggrey Memorial has instilled in them.

Mrs. Dr. Dorothy Adentwi-Hayford, Headmistress of Aggrey Memorial SHS, said the ceremony celebrated more than examination results and certificates; it marked growth in character, leadership and responsibility.

She stressed that education is not merely about passing exams but about acquiring knowledge, developing critical thinking and becoming responsible citizens who contribute positively to society.

Meanwhile,PTA Chairman for the school praised the parents for their support of the school and urged them continue to assist the institution meet its needs.

He noted that while the school benefits from the government’s Free Senior High School policy and strives to deliver, parental support remains crucial to bridge gaps and enhance the learning environment.
