Govt’s Flagship Programmes: Nkawkaw To Operate 24h Economy Market Soon – MCE.

The Municipal Chief Executive of the Kwahu West Municipal Assembly, *Hon. Tamimu Halidu* says Nkawkaw the Municipal capital will soon operate one of the famous government’s flagship program, the 24- hour economy to boost trade and economic activities in the enclave.

Hon. Tamimu who was speaking with the media at a sod cutting mini- durber at Nkawkaw By- Pass to officially hand a 4 acre of land which was donated to the assembly by Mr. Agyare Darkwah a well known philanthropist to build the market for the development of Kwahu told the media, the modern facility will be completed within 36 months contact period.

According to him, the market facility building which commence today 25th day of June, 2026 is a municipal type of the 24h Economy Market policy.

He said, the edifix will have a modern facility comprises of Garages, Rest Stop and Restaurants form of a market.

On his part, Nana Darkwah Bamfo III Kwahu Atibea Akyeamehene who represented Kwahu Atibea Hene who double as Kwahu Gyaasehene of Kwahu Traditional Council, Nana Kwame Asante Beteani, urged the Head of the Genesis Construction Ltd to employ citizens and indigens in the construction area to feel government in their door step.

He also urged those who will be fortune to be involved in the construction of the 24h Economy Market as workers should exhibit good character and refrain from stealing of building materials to stall the project.

He finally called on the contractor not to hesitate to approach them in need of their support and should he encounter any changes form them to assist in the progress of the facility.
