Okere Coordinating Director Urges Ghanaians To Value Sanitation Expenditure By Government.

The Coordinating Director of Okere District Assembly in the Eastern region,*Candid Kape Pawvra* has called on Ghanaians to ensure they see value for the millions the government spends on sanitation at various district assemblies across the country.
Speaking at the National Sanitation Day Cleanup Exercise at Aseseeso, she attributed the recent flooding in parts of Accra to poor sanitation and human behavior a concern the President has also reiterated.
According to her, Government is investing therefore Ghanaians must also play their part by putting an end to indiscriminate dumping and choked drains causing disasters during rains.
She therefore urged the residents of Aseseeso and the district to often organize clean up exercises to keep their communities clean.
Henry Ansah Addo assembly member for Aseseeso electoral area in the Okere district urged his electorates to keep the community clean after the exercise which he pleaded with the Okere district to assembly to provide them with waste bin as a matter of urgency to prevent disease outbreak.
Nana Alex Amoyaw Addo Asona hene of Aseseeso who took part in the exercise in an interview with Angel News thanked the Okere district assembly and the residents of Aseseeso for partaking in the exercise which he believes will help prevent disasters in the future as seen recently in Accra and other part of the country.
