STMA Empowers Persons with Disabilities With Business Equipment.

The Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly has empowered persons living with disabilities with various business equipment to support their livelihoods and promote self-reliance.
The items, valued at about GH¢386,000, include ovens, ice chests, deep freezers, weeding machines, welding machines, hairdressing equipment, laptops and other tools to enable beneficiaries establish or expand their businesses.
The support covers the last quarter of 2025 and the first quarter of 2026, which were combined due to the irregular release of funds.
Speaking during the presentation, the MCE for Sekondi-Takoradi, Lawyer F.F. Faidoo, said the Assembly opted to provide equipment instead of cash to ensure the support is used for its intended purpose.
He urged the beneficiaries to take good care of the items and use them productively to improve their livelihoods.
