Atwima Mponua Blue Water Guard, Embarked Enforcement Operation On The Offin River Around Adiembra.

Atwima Mponua Anti-Illegal Mining Taskforce, working alongside the Blue Water Guard, embarked on an intensive enforcement operation along the Offin River around Adiembra.

The operation successfully halted illegal mining activities identified along the roadside stretch from Nyinahin to Mpasatia. Equipment used for the illegal activities was seized and destroyed, while the perpetrators fled upon the arrival of the taskforce.

This operation forms part of our sustained efforts to protect the Offin River, safeguard our water bodies and forests, and prevent further environmental degradation caused by illegal mining.

Let me reiterate that we will not relent in our efforts to combat illegal mining and protect our natural resources. Our water bodies are essential to the survival, health and livelihoods of our people, and their protection remains a collective responsibility.

I commend the Anti-Illegal Mining Taskforce and the Blue Water Guard for their continued commitment and dedication to this important national duty.
