A/R Vacated Onion Traders From Kwadaso Officially Handed Over Atwima Takyiman Market
The Kwadaso Municipal Assembly has officially handed over the new onion market at Atwima Takyiman to the onion traders who were relocated from Kwadaso.
The Municipal Chief Executive of Kwadaso, Hon. Richmond Agyenim-Boateng, in an interview, said the move is part of efforts to decongest the market and improve trading conditions.
Adding that their security issues will be enhanced as the market is just opposite the police station, unlike where they used to be, where they recorded frequent robbery cases.
He said, the assembly is poised to ensure the sustainability of the new market as street lights will be fixed in various corners as soon as the market takes off by the traders.
Hon. Richmond urged all the onion traders to make good use of the market now that it is officially handed over to them for their own convenience. Stating that the place is expected to provide a safer and more organized environment for them.
Nana Akua Kyere, Atwima Takyiman Queen Mother, expressed her gratitude to the MCE and the assembly for such movement as it will boost trading in the area.
She emphasised that the market will also increase employment chances for the youth in the area and lift the name of the community highigh.
