Abigail Quartey has become Ghana’s first World Female Boxing Champion.
She secured the WIBF Super Bantamweight title by defeating the UK’s Sageenta Birdi with scores of 98-91, 97-91, and 98-91 on Sunday night at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
