Funeral Violence Claims Two plus Lives Other Injured In Wiamoase

A clash between youths from Wiamoase and Aboaso in the Ashanti Region has left two people dead and four injured.

The violence erupted during a funeral at Wiamoase, where a misunderstanding between groups from Aboaso and Ntonso escalated into a fight.

Bawa Badioo on a phone interview with Nana Boakye Yiadom, the Chief of Wiamoase, the deceased were two youths from Aboaso and Ntonso who had attended the funeral.

The chief revealed that a misunderstanding ensued between the group from Aboaso and Ntonso, which degenerated into a free-for-all fight.

Some youths from the Ntonso community brandished pistols, leading to the violent confrontation.

Four women from Wiamoase were injured in the fight, including one pregnant woman. They are currently receiving treatment at Wiamoase Hospital.

The two deceased bodies were taken away by the Aboaso group.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, with many calling for calm and restraint.

The chief of Wiamoase has appealed for peace and urged the youth to refrain from such violent behavior.

The incident is a stark reminder of the need for vigilance and community cohesion to prevent such violent outbreaks.
