Konongo Traditional Council Hand A Galamsey Kong-Pin To Police

Information reaching media indicates that Konongo traditional council has handed over Mr Kwabena Amofa aka Alhaji to the Police at Konongo for interrogation and prosecution .

Mr Amofa is said to be the main brain behind the on-going galamsey activities at Konongo the capital of Asante Akyim Central.

Nananom led by Konongohene Nana Dr Ing.Awuah Abedimisa 11 had earlier invited Amofa to find out either truly or not he’s the main brain behind the alleged on-going galamsey activities destroying rivers and land in the area which he pleaded and pledged to stop .

To the surprise of Nananom they could only realise that the activities are rather worsening than earlier.

This prompted Nana Dr Ing.Awuah Abedimisa 11 to invite the entire

Kingmakers and Amofa to a meeting which they handed over Mr Kwabena Amofa to the District Police Commander Superintendant Teddy Damptey Brown and the his 2 ic ASP L.J.Kanton for arrest.
