Suspected Fowl And Dog Thief Beaten To A Pulp At Assin Adubiase

A suspected thief, identified as 42-year-old Kwabena Otoo from Assin Odumase, was apprehended by residents of Assin Adubiase for allegedly stealing 17 fowls and a dog.

Upon his arrest, inconsistencies in his responses during initial questioning led the residents to suspect his involvement in the theft, resulting in a severe physical assault.

The Assin Fosu Divisional Police Command on April 21, 2025, at approximately 4:00 a.m. received a distress call regarding the incident.

A team of Police Patrol Officers promptly responded, rescuing Kwabena Otoo from the mob and transporting him to the Assin Fosu Polyclinic, where he is currently receiving medical treatment for multiple injuries.

Preliminary police investigations confirm that Otoo hails from Assin Odumase.

Authorities are urging individuals who may have lost their fowl or a dog in the area to come forward and assist with the ongoing investigation.

The police have reiterated the importance of community members refraining from taking the law into their own hands and instead reporting suspected criminal activities to the appropriate authorities.
