Avoid Drugs And Substance Abuse To Maintain Long-term Health. – Youths Advised

Mr. Seth Adu Mensah, the Chief Executive Officer of Team Blaze Foundation and Empire in the Tano South District of the Ahafo region, has advised the youth of the country to refrain from drug and substance abuse in order to maintain long-term health.

He made this assertion during a free health screening and health insurance registration event organized by Team Blaze Foundation and Empire in Tano South.

According to him, a young person who aspires to achieve significant success in life must diligently avoid the abuse of harmful substances such as cocaine, tramadol, and others, which can ultimately damage the body and lead to non-communicable diseases that permanently affect one’s health.

Mr. Mark Takyi Mensah, the District Manager of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) for Tano South, advocated for the registration of pregnant women under the health insurance scheme, emphasizing that it is free at any registration center.

He encourages pregnant women to visit their nearest National Health Insurance Office for registration to ensure they have access to quality and affordable healthcare when required.

Furthermore, he noted that registration is free for individuals aged 70 years and above, urging them to register as well.

He also highlighted that the registration and renewal process for those aged between 18 and 69 is affordable, and he encourages the youth to take the initiative to register for the NHIS to access quality and affordable healthcare when necessary.

A beneficiary on behalf of all beneficiaries conveyed gratitude to Team Blaze Foundation and Empire for the assistance provided.

He said the gesture will go a long way to provide financial and health relief for them.
