Over 40 Communities In Wassa Amenfi Central Set To Gain Electricity Access After Years In Darkness.

The Member of Parliament for Wassa Amenfi Central in the Western region Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe said, more than 40 communities in the constituency to the national electricity grid, ending decades of darkness for thousands of residents.

According to the MP, the electrification project will bring light to communities that have remained without power since their establishment.

The beneficiary communities include Kwaadjeikrom, Donkorkrom, Ayigbe, Ashaim, Subriho, and several others across the constituency.

“This is a major step towards improving living standards and boosting economic activities in these communities,” Hon. Gyan Cudjoe stated.

She noted that access to electricity will enhance education, healthcare, and small-scale businesses, while also improving security at night.

The project forms part of the government’s ongoing rural electrification programme aimed at achieving universal electricity access nationwide.

Work is expected to commence soon, with the necessary infrastructure and materials being mobilized for deployment.

Residents have welcomed the announcement with excitement, describing it as a long-awaited relief that will transform daily life and open up opportunities for development in the area.

The MP reaffirmed her commitment to lobbying for more development projects to improve infrastructure and the general wellbeing of people in Wassa Amenfi Central.
