Tension Mounts In Agona Mankrong Nkwanta Over 24-Hour Market Project.

Tension is mounting in Agona Mankrong Nkwanta in the Agona East District following the demolition of some properties for the proposed 24-Hour Market project.

Over 100 aggrieved residents have raised concerns over the demolition exercise, claiming that their properties were destroyed without any compensation.

Speaking to Angel TV Reporter Nana Kojo Asare, the affected residents stated that they are demanding compensation before contractors are allowed to continue work on the project.

Some affected mothers also appealed to the government to intervene in the matter to prevent further hardship on residents.

Meanwhile, the Odikro of Agona Mankrong Nkwanta, Nana Onoma Amoako Ababio V, used the opportunity to deny claims that the traditional authorities signed any agreement with the District Assembly for the demolition exercise, as was reportedly aired on XYZ TV.

End.
