Unknown Assailant Murders 22-Year-old Okada Rider At Nyame Bekyere.

Residents of Nyame Bekyere, a farming community near Akoase in the Birim North District of the Eastern Region, are in shock following the murder of a 22-year-old Okada rider.
The deceased, identified as Eric Nyarko, popularly known as “Junior” was allegedly killed while carrying out his commercial motorcycle business.
Family members and fellow riders are now calling on the police to intensify investigations and improve security in the area.
According to the deceased’s sister, Darkoa Grace, Eric Nyarko left home to work as an Okada rider but failed to return.
She explained that after several unsuccessful attempts to locate him, the family called his mobile phone and an unknown person answered the call before later switching the phone off.
The family later received the heartbreaking news that the young rider had been murdered.
Darkoa Grace is therefore appealing to the Ghana Police Service to conduct thorough investigations and ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and prosecuted.
Meanwhile, some Okada riders and relatives of the deceased say the incident has created fear among riders operating in the area.
They noted that this is not the first time such an attack has occurred at Nyame Bekyere, alleging that similar incidents have happened there before.
They are therefore appealing to the security agencies and local authorities to treat the situation as a serious security concern to protect residents and commercial riders.
The body of the deceased has since been deposited at Nkawkaw Holy Family hospital for preservation and further investigations as police begin a manhunt for the unidentified assailants.
End.
