The Chairman for Muslim Executive Foundation and Patron for Damak Sanitation Health Watch-Ghana, Alhaji Musah Abubakar has called for strenuous approach in the fight against the country Sanitation challenge advocating for the inclusion of school-children at tender age.

Speaking during a clean-up exercise organized by Damak Sanitation Health Watch-Ghana and Noble Friends of Dr. Kwaku Oteng Fun Club at Adagya-Esereso in the Bosomtwi constituency said, leaving children behind the Sanitation fight is wrong and wastefull approach…and its time for leaders to bring on board schools to actively participate.

Expressing his joy about the exercise, he tasked Ghanaians to invest in our Sanitation fight to promote and protect our environment.

The Okyeame of Esereso-Adagya, Nana Kofi Boakye who took part in the exercise expressed his appreciation for embarking on such wonderful initiative aiming at transforming his community.

In his speech, he tasked community members to as a matter urgency cooperate with leaders in their quest to periodically organize monthly clean-up exercise to keep the community safe and clean.

Reminding members of His Royal Highness Otumfour Osei Tutu II’s commitment to keep the region clean signifies the imperativeness of Cleanness.

Assembly man for Adagya Electoral Area, Hon. Emmanuel Adams, applauded the two Organizers, Damak Sanitation Health Watch-Ghana and Noble Friends of Dr. Kwaku Oteng Fun Club and residents of the Adegya community including Artisans Association members for engaging in such life-changing initiative projecting to improve on environmental Cleanness.

He however directed the rank and file of residents living within to embrace the move to help positioning the health of members in good condition.

Also speaking to the media personnel during the exercise, the Director of Damak Sanitation Health Watch-Ghana, Mr. Daniel Mbabugri Akugri, also sided with Alhaji Abubakar’s call to involve school-children in the fight stressing that, it’s paramount to adopt swift measures to support mitigating the unclean nature of cities and communities in the region and beyond.

According to him, indiscriminate disposal of Waste in our communities and streets have become a norm where the laws failed to safeguard these indiscipline behaviours.

Hence, instilling the habit of cleanness in children at tender age will not only reduce the level of Waste and chock gutters, but will transform the mind set of children within their communities thereby pushing toward changing the elderly.

That notwithstanding, the Chairman of Noble Friends of Dr. Kwaku Oteng (NFODKO) for Kontenase Branch, Nana Antwi Boasiako in his speech during the exercise appeals to stakeholders, especially the traditional leaders to give their full support to the sanitation fight in their communities.

He said it is the responsibility of the traditional leaders to preserve and protect the environment for the future generations, and failure to do so will leave them nothing good but a bad legacy.
