TEMA NEWTOWN MUSLIM YOUTH CHIEF PLEDGES JOB CREATION AND DEVELOPMENT FOR ZONGO COMMUNITIES.

The newly crowned Muslim Youth Chief of Tema, Mohammed Elias, has reaffirmed his commitment to championing the welfare of young people and spearheading development initiatives within the Tema Muslim community.
Speaking at his coronation ceremony, the CEO of One God Forever Limited and President of Ghana Retired Footballers Welfare, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him by the youth who elected him to lead them.
At the first of it’s kind to happen in Tema, Mohammed Elias was officially installed as the Sarkin Samari Zongo of the Tema Muslim Community alongside his two deputies during a colourful ceremony attended by the National Chief Imam, Dr.Mahamadu Bawumia, traditional leaders, community members, and well-wishers.
According to him, unemployment remains one of the biggest challenges confronting the youth in the community.
He assured members that he would leverage his networks and engage relevant authorities to create employment opportunities and improve the livelihoods of young people.
He pledged to serve with humility, dedication, and a strong sense of responsibility.
Hon.Sumaila Adjetey Agaby, An Assemblyman for Oklor-kofi electoral area and Sub Metro Chairman for Tema East, who was officially outdoored as the Sarki Yaaki of the Tema Muslim Community, highlighted the numerous developmental challenges facing Zongo communities in Tema.
He assured residents that addressing these challenges would be among the priorities of the new leadership.
The spokesperson for the Tema Traditional Council, Nii Armah Somponu, congratulated the newly installed leaders and urged them to work diligently towards promoting peace, unity, and development within the Muslim community.
