Kwahu Odaa Chief, Drivers Appeal For Immediate Rehabiltation Of Odaa–Awiregya Road.

The Chief of Kwahu Odaa and commercial drivers operating along the Fodoa–Kwahu Odaa–Awiregya stretch in the Kwahu West municipality have appealed to the government and relevant authorities to urgently rehabilitate the road due to its deteriorating condition and its impact on transportation and economic activities in the area.
Residents, traditional leaders and drivers say the deplorable state of the road has become a major concern, affecting the daily lives of people who depend on it for their livelihoods.
Commercial drivers plying the route lamented that the poor condition of the road has led to frequent vehicle breakdowns, increased maintenance costs and higher transport fares.
According to the drivers, the situation worsens during the rainy season, when portions of the road become almost impassable, making movement difficult for passengers, traders and other road users.
Residents also expressed concern that the bad nature of the road is negatively affecting economic activities, particularly for farmers who struggle to transport their produce to various market centres.
Speaking to the Chief of Kwahu Odaa, Nana Amakye Appah, described the condition of the road as worrying and appealed to the government to make its rehabilitation a priority to ease the burden on residents and boost economic activities in the area.
End.
