Mother And Her Children Trapped As Floodwaters Submerge Their Home At Kasoa Tuba Kuwait.
A mother and her children have been trapped inside their room at Kuwait, a suburb of Tuba in the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, after floodwaters entered their home while they were fast asleep.
According to reports, the family was sleeping when the floodwaters suddenly rose and trapped them inside the room.
The mother and her children were reportedly found floating on their mattress as the water level continued to rise.
Residents are appealing to the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) and the government to urgently come to their rescue following the destruction caused by the heavy rains.
As of the time of this report, no rescue operation had been carried out, and the victims remained trapped, awaiting assistance.
Meanwhile, residents have also expressed concern over a deteriorated bridge in the area, which they say poses a serious threat to lives and property.
According to them, they have lodged numerous complaints with the Ga South Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), but no action has been taken to address the situation.
