No School, No Clinic, Bad Roads Kwapaa Residents Appeal For Development.

Residents of Kwapaa, a farming community in the Atwima Nwabiagya North District of the Ashanti Region, are crying over what they describe as years of neglect and lack of basic amenities.

The community, known for producing cocoa, cassava and plantain, says lack of development has become their biggest challenge.

Residents disclosed that there is no school in Kwapaa. Their children walk long distances to Banahene and Worapong to access education.

“The distance is too far. Our children suffer before they get to school,” a resident said.

The community also has no CHPS compound.

Residents say they rely on motorbikes to access healthcare in Worapong, Offinso and Barekese.

“When someone is sick, especially pregnant women, we carry them on motorbikes. It’s expensive and dangerous.

Life here is unbearable,” another resident lamented.

The residents are appealing to government to remember them and ensure they get their share of the national cake.

“We farm to feed the nation, but we have no school, no clinic, no good roads.

It’s about time government remembered us too,” they pleaded.

They are calling on the District Assembly and the MP to urgently provide a school, or mini bus to transport them to school, a CHPS compound, and good roads for the community.
