REDD+ Ghana Cuts Sod For Teachers’ Bungalow And Mechanized Borehole At Twabidi Beposo M/A Basic School.

REDD+ Ghana has officially cut sod for the construction of a teachers’ bungalow and a mechanized borehole for the Twabidi Beposo M/A Basic School in the Ahafo Ano North Municipality of the Ashanti Region.

The project is expected to improve teachers’ welfare by providing decent accommodation while also ensuring a reliable source of clean drinking water for both the school and the surrounding community.

Speaking during the sod-cutting ceremony, the Headteacher of Twabidi Beposo M/A Basic School, Mr. Owusu Mike, expressed profound appreciation to REDD+ Ghana for the intervention.

He also thanked the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ahafo Ano North, Hon. Kwasi Adusei, for facilitating the project and supporting the development of education in the municipality.

Mr. Owusu Mike described the project as timely and significant, noting that it would motivate teachers and create a more conducive teaching and learning environment.

He also highlighted some of the major challenges confronting the school and appealed for additional support to address them to further improve academic performance.

Addressing the gathering, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Kwasi Adusei, commended REDD+ Ghana for its commitment to supporting education and community development.

He assured the people that the Municipal Assembly would closely monitor the implementation of the project to ensure it is completed on schedule and according to the required standards.

Hon. Kwasi Adusei emphasized that the Assembly would work with all stakeholders to ensure the contractor uses quality building materials and delivers durable infrastructure that will serve the school for many years.
