Kwadaso MCE Cuts Sod For 24-Hour Economy Market.
The Municipal Chief Executive for Kwadaso, Eric Assibey, has cut the sod for the construction of a 24-hour economy market in the municipality.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Assibey said the project forms part of government’s 24-hour economy initiative aimed at creating jobs, boosting trade, and making it easier for residents to access goods and services around the clock.
According to the MCE, the modern market will have trading spaces, storage facilities, security posts, washrooms, and adequate lighting to support night trading.
He noted that the facility will benefit traders, drivers, and residents who work late hours, while also reducing congestion in existing markets within Kwadaso.
Mr. Assibey added that the assembly will work closely with contractors to ensure the project is completed on schedule and meets quality standards.
He urged residents to support the project and take advantage of the opportunities it will create.
The 24-hour economy policy is part of government’s broader plan to stimulate continuous business activity and employment, particularly in urban centers.

The contractor, Ing. Michael Amankwah, on his part promised to complete the project on time but urged the MCE and the security agencies in the area to provide tight security over his logistics when brought to site.
