Former NaCCA Boss Urges School Operators To Embrace Technology, Practical Teaching.
Former Director of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Prof. Yayra Dzakadzie has called on stakeholders in the education sector, particularly private school operators, to embrace technology and integrate modern technological skills into teaching and learning.
According to him, technology has become an essential part of development, and nations can no longer rely solely on their natural resources such as gold to measure their wealth and progress.
Prof. Dzakadzie stressed that the future of nations depends largely on the quality of human resources they are able to develop through education and skills training.
He made the call during the 20th Anniversary and Graduation Ceremony of EUNIVANS Educational Center at Kasoa.
Prof. Dzakadzie urged educators to expose students to modern technology and equip them with the relevant skills needed to compete effectively in an increasingly technology-driven world.
Meanwhile, some management members of EUNIVANS Educational Center appealed to students to uphold discipline, describing growing indiscipline in schools as unacceptable.
The management also called on the government to ensure that students in private schools enjoy equal opportunities and incentives as their counterparts in public schools.
They particularly appealed for fairness in the school placement system, urging authorities to ensure that students from private schools are not disadvantaged in accessing placement opportunities.
Lastly, responding to the call and the concerns of the private school operators, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Awutu Senya East Hon. Seth Serwonoo Banini whilst renewing his commitment to improving education in the municipality assured private school operators that his outfit will collaborate with them to ensure level playing field.
