Deputy Interior Minister Distributes 2,600 Bags Of Fertilizer To Farmers In Lower Manya Krobo To Support Feed Ghana Initiative.
The Deputy Interior Minister and Member of Parliament for Lower Manya Krobo Constituency in the Eastern Region, *Ebenezer Okletey Tei Larbi*, has distributed 2,600 bags of fertilizer to farmers in Lower Manya Krobo to support the Feed Ghana Initiative and boost agriculture in the constituency.
Speaking to the media at Kpong, he noted that he is targeting 2,000 farmers for the distribution of fertilizers, seeds, seedlings and other agricultural inputs to support their farming activities.
According to him, anyone found selling the fertilizers will be arrested and prosecuted, adding that there will be regular monitoring of beneficiaries to ensure the fertilizers are used for their intended purpose.
John Matey, Municipal Chief Executive for Lower Manya Krobo, thanked the MP, Ebenezer Okletey Tei Larbi, for the initiative and encouraged farmers in the municipality to take their farming activities seriously as the government is doing its best to support them.
Some of the farmers, in an interview with Angel News, thanked the MP and the MCE for the initiative, saying it will help reduce the burden of sourcing fertilizer for their farming activities.
