Dodowa Market Women Demand Clarity Over Destruction Of Temporary Market Site.

Hundreds of Market women in Dodowa, Shai-Osudoku District, are demanding answers from the authorities over the destruction of a temporary market site designated to accommodate traders.

The women say the development has created confusion, uncertainty, and financial losses over where they will operate, and they are calling on the authorities to clarify the circumstances surrounding the demolition.

The temporary market site was expected to provide a place for traders to continue their businesses to make way for the construction of the government’s 24-hour market initiative, but the destruction has left traders worried about their livelihoods and the future of their businesses.

Some of the market women spoke with Angel News after presenting a petition to the District Assembly.

Receiving the petition on behalf of the District Chief Executive, Aide to the DCE, Bosso John Mensah, assured the market women of the authorities’ resolve to address their concerns.
