Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe Drives Transformation In Amenfi Central With Massive Infrastructure Rollout For 2026 And Beyond.

The Member of Parliament for Amenfi Central, Hon. Joana Gyan Cudjoe, has unveiled an expansive and ambitious development agenda for 2026 and beyond, aimed at reshaping communities across the constituency through targeted investments in healthcare, education, security and local economic development.

Addressing constituents and stakeholders, the MP reaffirmed her commitment to equitable development, stating that the 2025 and 2026 project rollouts are designed to “bring governance closer to the people and ensure that no community in Amenfi Central is left behind.”

*Healthcare: Bringing Care Closer To The People*

A major pillar of the 2026 agenda is healthcare infrastructure. The MP is spearheading the expansion and construction of Community-based Health Planning and Services (CHPS) compounds to reduce travel distances and ease pressure on existing facilities.

Key projects include:

– Continuation of Ankwaso CHPS Compound and Sraha Ayiem CHPS Compound

– Fresh construction of CHPS Compounds at Ankasie, Jedua Kese, Adidaase and Hiawa

– Fresh construction of a Maternity Block with Theatre at Manso Amenfi to improve maternal and emergency care

In April 2026, the MP also led a major medical equipment distribution drive across health facilities at Manso Amenfi and Agona Amenfi to address longstanding equipment shortages and improve diagnosis and patient care.

*Education: Investing In The Future*

Education remains a central pillar of the strategy. Ongoing projects include the continuation of Wuratrem DA Primary School and Ankasie DA Primary School, alongside the completion of a three-unit classroom block for the JHS at Sompre.

New educational projects for 2026 include:

– 6-unit Primary School at Kramokrom

– 3-unit classroom block at Bantoma

– DA Primary at Ata ne Ata and KG blocks at Takyikrom Sompre Junction and Agona Camp

*Security and Economic Growth*

To enhance safety, Hon. Cudjoe is funding the construction of police stations at Sraha Ayiem and Achichire from her MP’s Common Fund allocation, to improve police response times and reinforce law enforcement presence.

To stimulate the local economy and align with the government’s 24-Hour Economy vision, the agenda includes the fresh construction of a modern 24-Hour Economy Market at Agona Amenfi and a new market at Juabo, creating employment and trading opportunities for residents.

*Beyond 2026: The Bigger Vision*

Hon. Cudjoe says the 2026 rollout is only the foundation. Beyond 2026, her vision focuses on:

– Youth skills development and job creation linked to the new markets

– Completion and equipping of all health facilities

– Improved road connectivity to the new CHPS and school sites

– Strengthening party-community engagement for development tracking, as seen in her upcoming engagement with all NDC Branch Communication Officers under the theme “One Team, One Voice, One Amenfi Central”

Through these projects, Joana Gyan Cudjoe is demonstrating a clear vision for Amenfi Central: transforming communities, improving living standards, and creating opportunities for sustainable development.
