Chiefs Urged To Purify Stools And Uphold Traditions — Obrempong Nyanful Krampah.
The Omanhene of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council and immediate past President of the Central Regional House of Chiefs, Obrempong Nyanful Krampah, has urged traditional leaders to properly purify their stools and uphold the customs and traditions of their respective lands.
He said chiefs have a responsibility to preserve the values and traditions handed down by their forefathers, stressing that Christianity came to meet the traditional practices of the Ghanaian people and should therefore not lead to the abandonment of customs.
Obrempong Nyanful Krampah made the remarks in an interview with Angel TV Reporter Nana Kojo Asare during the purification of the Adontinhene’s stool at Gomoa Abrekum in the Gomoa West District of the Central Region.
Meanwhile, the Nkabomhene of the Gomoa Ajumako Traditional Council, Nana Osofo Kweku Nkrumah Dankwah, has called on traditional leaders to promote peace and unity in their various communities.
He said maintaining peace is essential to creating an environment that will attract development and improve the wellbeing of residents.
The Adontinhenaa also used the occasion to advise the youth, particularly young girls, to take their education seriously and remain focused on their future.
