36 PWDs In The Berekum West District Receive Support From The Disability Fund.

The District Chief Executive, COLLINS ASOMAH, says the Assembly, through the PWD fund, several persons with disabilities in the district have their living conditions improved.

‎The DCE states that the initiative forms part of the government’s commitment to supporting persons with disabilities in becoming economically independent as he advise them to use the money and the items given to them wisely.

‎The Chairman of the Persons with Disabilities, OSEI YAW, commends the government for the support and urges the beneficiaries to use the funds wisely to improve their livelihoods.

‎He, however, laments the denial of persons with disabilities by the DVLA of the opportunity for persons with disabilities to acquire driving and riding licences due to their disabilities.

The chairman says the disabilities of some members are minor, which makes them more than able to drive or ride the auto-rickshaw or even cars.
