The Member of Parliament for Berekum East Constituency, SIMON AMPAABENG KYEREMEH, commissions a 20MVA transformer to the VRA/NEDCO to help improve and stabilize electricity supply in Berekum.

The MP says the project fulfills his campaign promise to lobby for a bigger transformer to address frequent power fluctuations and improve reliable electricity supply in the constituency.

He says the intervention is aimed at supporting households, businesses and other institutions that depend on stable power for their daily activities.

The MP adds that he has also secured 12 other transformers for the communities and the emerging communities that have no electricity.

‎‎ATTA AMANKWAA, Electrical Engineer at the NEDCO head office says the 20kv transformer will help improve electricity supply to Berekum and its environs.

He adds that, the current one is 10MVA transformer which in most cases develops faults so the new 20MVA transformer will help address this challenge
