MP Fumes Over Sand Mining In Kumawu

The Member of Parliament for Kumawu, Hon. Ernest Yaw Anim, has expressed concern over sand mining activities in the district.

According to the MP, the issue stems from careless behavior that occurred over the weekend, particularly on a road constructed by the previous government that is yet to be completed.

Hon. Anim emphasized the importance of protecting public property, stating that the district’s progress relies on collective efforts.

He called on security agencies to halt sand mining activities until the road is repaired to his satisfaction. The police and anti-rubbers unit have been working to address the issue.

The MP also mentioned that the current government is making efforts to complete projects initiated by the previous administration.

He announced plans to conduct regular inspections to identify and address any instances of destruction or misuse of government property, holding those responsible accountable.
