The Difficulties Of Doing Business In Ghana Due to the taxation system..Country Director Of African American Manufacturing AFAG

The Ashanti Regional Hairdressers, Cosmetologists, and Beauticians Association of Ghana is urging the government to invest in TVET education to help reduce poverty. Mad Ophelia Yeboah, Ashanti Regional President of the National Cosmeticians and Hairdressers Association of Ghana (NaHAG), suggests that students be enrolled with experienced practitioners for practical training during vacations, as they currently lack hands-on experience despite learning theory in school.

The Association is also calling on the government to reduce taxes, electricity, and water tariffs, which they claim are negatively impacting their businesses.

They argue that these measures would enable them to train more street children and contribute to the economy.

Similarly, Mr. Owusu Koko Akoto, Country Director of African American Manufacturing AFAG and President of Chicago, has expressed concerns about the difficulties of doing business in Ghana due to the taxation system.

He urges the government to reduce taxes on imports to make goods more affordable and recognizes the contributions of beauticians to the economy through job creation and tax payments.

He also advocates for employee benefits, such as SSNIT and insurance, and requests government loans to support beauticians in starting their own businesses.
End.
