Gomoa Central To Benefit From New Farm Service Centre

The District Chief Executive for Gomoa Central, Hon. Hackman Kwabina Aidoo, has announced plans for the establishment of a modern Farm Service Centre aimed at boosting agricultural productivity and supporting farmers across the district.

Speaking at the 41st Farmers’ Day celebration held at Gomoa Achiase in the Gomoa Central District of the Central Region, Hon. Aidoo also urged the youth to venture into farming rather than relying solely on white-collar jobs.

He encouraged young people to take advantage of the numerous opportunities within the agricultural sector.

The DCE assured residents of ongoing efforts to improve road networks to ensure smooth transportation of farm produce to markets.

He further revealed that the assembly is working towards establishing a 24-hour economy market to help farmers sell their products more efficiently.

The Odikro of Gomoa Dahom, Nana Kwaprah VII, who was the Chairman for the Occasion, also used the occasion to advise chiefs across the district to allocate lands for large-scale farming to help expand agricultural activities and create more opportunities for the youth.
