Savannah Region Passport Office To Boost Tourism And Cultural Exchange – MP Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimiah

The Member of Parliament for the Salaga South Constituency, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimiah, has stated that the establishment of a Passport Office in the Savannah Region will create new opportunities for residents to travel, experience other cultures, and return home with valuable knowledge that can support national development.
Speaking to the media, Hon. Zuwera Mohammed Ibrahimiah explained that exposure to other cultures helps people appreciate their own traditions better, noting that this exchange of experiences is one of the ways many countries grow and develop.
She further emphasized that the Savannah Region holds great potential for tourism in Ghana.
According to her, the opening of the Passport Office, along with other development initiatives, will help open up the region to both local and domestic tourism.
This, she said, will generate revenue, create profit opportunities, and promote the rich eco-cultural heritage found in the Savannah Region.
Hon. Zuwera also used the occasion to express her sincere gratitude to the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Hon. Okudzeto Ablakwa, on behalf of the chiefs, youth, and people of the Savannah Region.
She noted that with events such as the upcoming World Cup, many Ghanaians are eager to travel, making the commissioning of the Passport Office timely and strategic.
She concluded by stating that the people of the Savannah Region are ready to take full advantage of the new Passport Office to improve mobility, tourism, and development in the region.
