Accra-Kumasi Road Traffic Gets Passengers Sophisticated

Passengers traveling from Accra to Kumasi have been stuck in heavy traffic since yesterday, with some missing flights and others facing discomfort and hunger.

The congestion is reportedly due to the Philadelphia 31st night convention, which has led to a surge in traffic on the busy highway.

Speaking to our reporter, one passenger, expressed frustration, saying, “We left Kumasi at 10pm yesterday and we’re still stuck at Nkawkaw.

The traffic is unbearable, and the police are not doing enough to control it.” Another passenger chimed in, “I’m going to miss my flight because of this traffic. It’s really frustrating.”

The passengers are calling for more police presence, particularly MTTD officers, to help manage the traffic and ease the congestion.

“The few police on the ground are overwhelmed, and it’s causing a bottleneck,” a passenger said.

Church members who are leaving the church grounds are also feeling the pinch, with some expressing frustration and anxiety about reaching their destination on time.

The situation is getting desperate, with passengers, including children, stuck in the traffic with limited access to food and other amenities.
