Rule With Peace And Unity Duakwa Chief Advice Newly Installed Chief

The Chief of Agona Duakwa and Krontihene of the Nyakrom Traditional Area, Nana Kojo Amuakwa V, has advised the newly installed Odikro of Duotu, Nana Kofi Asopea IV, to govern with honesty, justice, dignity, and in unity with her people.

He gave the advice during a durbar held to mark the coronation of Nana Kofi Asopea IV at Duotu. Nana Kojo Amuakwa V reminded the new chief that although chieftaincy may appear attractive and joyful, it comes with enormous responsibilities.

According to him, chieftaincy is a sacred institution established by God, as reflected even in biblical history, and must therefore be handled with great care to promote development and uphold its dignity.

He cautioned against actions that could bring the chieftaincy institution into disrepute and urged the new chief to dispense justice fairly in all matters.
Nana Kojo Amuakwa V also called on queen mothers and the people of Duotu to offer their full support to the new chief to enable her to govern effectively.

Responding, the newly installed Odikro of Duotu, Nana Kofi Asopea IV, expressed gratitude to Nana Kojo Amuakwa V, the people of Duotu, and all stakeholders for the honour bestowed on her.

She appealed for unity and cooperation to help her rule the community in peace.
Nana Kofi Asopea IV further advised the youth to take their education seriously and to avoid activities that could negatively affect their future.

End.
