A tragic accident at Offinso Old Town in the Ashanti Region has claimed the lives of two individuals, with two others injured and receiving treatment at a local hospital.

The victims, a male and a female, died when their car caught fire following a collision with a trailer (GR-1357-W) and a mini truck carrying building materials .

Residents told Angel Tv News Bismark Mensah, Reporter, that the accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January 12, 2026.

The female victim, a building materials trader, was transporting goods from Kumasi to Offinso when the crash happened.

She and the driver were severely burnt and died at the scene.

The bodies have been sent to the hospital for further investigation, and police have taken over the scenhue to probe the accident.

The two injured individuals, the trailer driver and his drivers mate, are receiving medical attention .
