Enough Of Promises”Gbetsile Chief Demands Immediate Action On Roads And Water Crisis

The Chief of Gbetsile, Nii Amankwah Sune I, has expressed deep frustration over what he describes as repeated assurances that roads in the community have been awarded to contractors, with little or no work visible on the ground.

According to the chief, residents are tired of hearing that contracts have been awarded while the deplorable state of roads in Gbetsile remains unchanged.

He noted that the numerous potholes and dusty roads are affecting all categories of residents, including motorists, traders, schoolchildren and the elderly, stressing that the situation requires urgent attention.

Nii Amankwah Sune I acknowledged that road contracts may have been awarded but said the delays in execution are unacceptable.

He called on the contractors to move to site immediately and fast-track the projects, warning that residents are gradually losing patience.

Beyond the road concerns, the Gbetsile chief also raised alarm over persistent water shortages in the community.

He revealed that some residents go for several months without access to pipe-borne water, making daily life extremely difficult.
