Tragedy At Asokore Mampong As 9-Year-Old Boy Drowns In Stream.

A tragic incident has occurred in Asokore Mampong in the Ashanti Region, where 9-year-old Tawfiq Abdul-Halim drowned in a stream between Sawaba and Asokore Mampong.

The young boy, a pupil of Mahad Islamic School, had gone shepherding with his brother, who returned home late, reporting the incident to their family.

The family searched for Tawfiq, and his body was eventually recovered from the stream this morning.

The father of the boy Abdul-Halim Osman, father narrated the incident to Sompa News

A witness, Abdul Jalil, expressed concern, stating this is the fourth drowning incident in the same stream within five years.

He urged parents to supervise their children closely, as they often gather in the area for shepherding.

The police have launched an investigation, and the body has been taken to the morgue.
