Kwadaso MCE Distributes Birds To Farmers Under Nkoko Nketenkete Program.

The Kwadaso Municipal Chief Executive, Hon.Eric Asibey, on Wednesday, 18th February, 2026,distributed about 3000 live birds to 150 farmers as part of the government’s Nkoko Nketenkete program at the forecourt of the Municipal Assembly.

Each farmer received 20 birds for the first phase of the program as the Assembly expect to receive a total of 10000 birds to be distributed.

The program,an initiative of the President,His Excellency John Dramani Mahama, aims to improve poultry production and make it more affordable for Ghanaians.

The initiative is also designed to boost the local economy while increasing access to protein-rich foods.

Speaking at the launch,the MCE, Hon.Eric Asibey, mentioned that,all 150 beneficiaries were trained by the Agric Directorate on how to properly take care of the birds before receiving them.

He cautioned the beneficiaries to handle the birds with care, describing them as fragile and stressing that,their proper management was crucial to the program’s success.

Hon.Asibey commended President Mahama for the laudable initiative, stating that,the program has been oversubscribed due to its benefits to the public.

He declared that the NDC government remains committed in honouring every promise made to Ghanaians prior to the 2024 general elections.

Present at the launch were the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr Francis Adu-Boateng, the NDC Constituency Chairman, Mr Issah Moro, some Party Executives,some Assembly members and some staff of the Assembly.
