Bibiani Senior Nursing Officer Confirms Baby Responding To Treatment.
Senior nursing officer of children’s Ward at Bibiani government hospital has confirmed that the baby who was allegedly attempted to be buried at Abofrem near Bibiani is responding to treatment.
Few days ago we reported that a 5 months baby was allegedly buried alive by a pastor and his accomplices at Abofrem near Bibiani but a senior nursing officer has confirmed that the baby is responding to treatment.
Speaking with the Senior Nursing Officer in charge of the Children’s Ward at Bibiani Municipal Hospital, Morkoa-Chie Edjah, has refuted claims that the baby is an “imbecile” or a “water baby.
” She stated that the child is doing well just some bruises are located around her neck but responding to medical treatment.
She urged parents and guardians to seek immediate medical attention at the hospital whenever they notice anything unusual with their newborn babies.
Also the Domestic Violence and Victim Support ( DOVVSU) Coordinator at Bibiani, ASP Evelyn Yitamkey, confirmed that the three suspects are now in police custody, while the baby is receiving treatment at the Bibiani Municipal Hospital.
She stressed the need for Ghanaians to cooperate with DOVVSU by reporting any suspected domestic violence or abuse as early as possible.
